My Mind's Eye Micro Mini album

My my my, that's a mouthful isn't it ... lets see, My Mind's Eye micro mini - say that 3 times fast!

Believe it or not this tiny little album is made from something we ALL have in our homes, it's my form of up-cycling (which just happens to be my One Little Word in 2013)  they are toilet paper rolls!  I used the My Mind's Eye Collectible-Unforgettable collection in a 6x6 pad.  The 6x6 pad was perfect for this mini - I had lots of leftovers too.  Each page turns into a pocket for a tag to pull out from.  I used Prima chalk ink edgers to colour co-ordinate with the papers.

I will be teaching a class at Auntie Ems most likely in May with a similar album.  You will NOT be disappointed.  Keep an eye on my blog and the Auntie Em's blog for details.

Page Maps September - Auntie Em's

Wow, is September really here? Summer is starting to fade away, I've noticed the outer leaves on trees turning their autumn hues already.

But what September does bring with it, is the Copic registration class. I will be attending the first Copic course on September 18th. This will allow me to teach Copic techniques. I'm very much looking forward to this opportunity. I've had so much fun with the Copic Markers, and find myself adventuring out of my box too, blending colours, adding more texture and the like.

So, without further adieu, September also brings another PageMaps reveal. Mellisa and I received some Bo Bunny new Double Dot, and some more of Emma's favourite Stella & Rose from My Minds Eye. She also provided some flower pins and crocheted flowers.

I must say, this 3 photo layout was alot easier to do, since I knew I wanted to do a layout of my son's first haircut ... boy did he need it, what a shaggy mop top he had going on before that hair cut. This weekend he is going to have his 3rd haircut. Time really flies, soon I won't be measuring time by the number of haircuts my kids have had, but the number of baby teeth that have fallen out, then by the number of A's they got on their report card, followed by the number of sleepless nights I've had worrying about them being out too late ... and life goes on like that.
Supplies:

Patterned Paper = My Minds Eye (background), Bo Bunny (brown), Basic Grey (orange), Graphic 45 (blue)
Embelishments = Prima (flowers), Petaloo (crochet flowers) stick pins (I believe they are Little Yellow Bicycle)
Journaling = Journaling card by MME, rubons Karen Foster
Other: Ranger Distress Ink, twine, Glimmer Mist, brads (Basic Grey, Stampin Up, dollar store)

April Challenge

Are you ready for some My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose?  That is the featured line over at Auntie Em's Scrapbooking for the month of April.  Melissa and I were given identical paper this time and asked to come up with our own take on the Scrapbook & Cards Today Calender sketch for the month of April.  I'm really liking how this turned out.

I chose a sepia photo for this paper line as it is just begging to be distressed.  I used the Sew Easy to stitch along the left side of my layout. Used a Tattered Angel;s stamp for the journaling box.  I am just loving the new Tattered Angel's glimmer chips, and chose a dove for my embellishment.  My title is Basic Grey stickers from the Capella line.  The "&" symbol is a thicker that I used Distress Stickles on (peeled paint) and then used clear embossing powder over - but I used too much Versa Mark ink - I was in a hurry so the clear embossing looks rather dull and not shiny ... but I like the way it turned out.  The flowers this time are made with leftover scraps and the George cartridge on my Cricut topped with a Prima centre and a Making Memories brad.

The journaling reads:
A rate moment when you two are getting along.  Vanessa is always putting the choke hold on you Nigel. January 2011

Remember all month long at Auntie Em's Scrapbooking all My Mind's Eye will be on sale 10% off.
