As some of you know Breast Cancer touched my family 22 years ago, and cancer has reared it's ugly little head again.  October is Breast Cancer awareness month and Bo Bunny is promoting this with a beautiful pink purse!  What scrapping lady wouldn't love a pink purse?

I invite each of you to become a follower of the Bo Bunny Facebook page - LINK FOUND HERE, and tell them that Lorena sent you!

Seasonal art journaling

I can't believe it snowed on October 12th, good grief!  And if that wasn't bad enough ... my kids were EXCITED about it, they wanted it to stay!  Are you kidding me?!?  I would like to move to a place where the temperature is a consistent 24 degrees.  So I did an art journal page about my experience  that day ... I called it:

Snow is a 4 letter word

My second journal page started out as a sunrise or sunset, not sure, but then I added in some flowers and ... well lollipops - why not, Halloween is right around the corner, and what better goes with sunshine than lollipops hahaha!

Sunshine and Lollipops

Let me know what you think,

Searching for a title - Sunkissed collection by Prima

What do you do with those absolutly lovely photos of flowers that grow in your garden?  Well you scrapbook them of course!  This is a layout of a sunflower in my yard.  As yet untitled, and well I really don't know what to title it, what do you call a layout about a flower anyway!

Little Miss - by Bo Bunny - 3 layouts

As soon as I saw this collection from Bo Bunny I knew I wanted the whole thing.  Last time that happened was with the Et Cetera line.  I adore this line, the muted soft colours of moss green and coral with undertones of brown.  So girly, and flirty.

I've made 3 layouts so far and have plans for many many more, I could do an whole album with this collection!

See the hand-made flower on the photo there - I wanted to add dimension to the photo - I loved this photo but it needed something.

Texture paste to give some height.

This layout was a challenge to use up 'spare letters'

As yet untitled - may call it "on the Hill" as she is sitting in front of Parliament Hill.

Crop & Create Ottawa 2012

I had the absolute pleasure of attending Crop & Create Ottawa 2012 a few weeks ago.  Crop & Create is an annual scrapbooking even hosted by Scrapbook & Cards Today.  They travel across Canada hitting up major cities and this year Ottawa was on their scrapbooking radar.  It is a weekend of cropping, fun challenges, classes,  and make n' takes.  During the weekend I took in one class by the ever amazing Kelly Goree, I was super happy with the results (but have yet to put photos on those layouts that I completed).  I took part in most of the challenges they had going on. Here are a few of the layouts that I entered.

The first layout is called Little Squirt - this was a sketch challenge, and I stretched the sketch over two pages.  I used the For The Record collection by Echo Park for both of these layouts.

The second layout, I titled Youthful, was a colour palette challenge and I decided to do a photo of my mother in her youth.  She is going through a very tough time right now, and I might just give her this layout to brighten her day.
