An amazing ArtVenture in Cornwall

What a fantastic time I had at the Cornwall Art Venture!  Three extremely talented ladies taught two classes each over the course of two days ... and a make and take!  I would definitely do it again if they come back to Cornwall!!

Cari's Classes - I learned the most from these classes - and got to use newly released products - love the 2nd layout it came with a frame!  Love the new Seashore collection!!!

Jamie's Classes - the 2nd one is my favorite of the weekend.

Limor's classes

Oh my goodness - do you see all this!

These were the Make N Takes on the Friday evening - Cari brought a Fuji Instax camera that takes these mini polaroid photos and we got to create with the Insta Scrap collection.

On the Thursday night we had a special episode of Live With Prima that was recorded live at Auntie Em's Scrapbooking in front of a Live Studio Audience - all the Auntie Em's Peeps!!!! and took a group photo afterwards!

Well there you have it folks - a pictorial review of my weekend last weekend.  Let me know what you think!  And ... I've heard a rumor that Art Venture may be coming back to Cornwall next year ... keep your eyes and ears open for this!

Remember that your comments may just win you a prize - I will choose a random commenter to receive some RAK when my blog reaches 40K views - which is VERY soon!!!

Prima's Build A Page sketch Feb 2014

Prima's Build-A-Page sketch for February was one I could really sink my teeth into - it was full of layers and very flirty.  I love putting feathers on my layouts anyway, but this sketch called for feathers and hearts.

I used one of the Bloom Girl stamps that I coloured with my Copics for the photo, since I love these stamps and images so much.  I also used parts of the Bloom Girls album as my patterned papers and chipboard pieces as well as the brads and clips from this collection.  Its so fun and girly.  I used a technique that I saw Limor use on one of the Live With Prima episodes whereby she framed out the photo with black paint and her pallet knife in little hash tags - it worked perfectly on this layout to draw attention to the corners.

Here is the sketch and my take on it.

Tell me what you think!  You can play along too - check out the Pima blog each month for the BAP and PPP challenges.

Amazing opportunity here ....

I went to the California Art Venture and it was an amazing fun filled weekend - so much learning, so much brand new Prima product and the talent those instructors have to offer will just amaze you.  The value in the goody bag and class product are nearly the value of the registration alone.  This event is ALL INCLUSIVE!! Your room, your meals, your crop time, and your classes - all SIX of them.

Don't wait on this, and think that you will catch it next year, because that won't be happening folks - this is the closest to home that Art Venture will be coming - $750 is one hell of a weekend all inclusive.
