Traveling in Time with Prima ....
Have you seen the Time Traveler collection from Prima? It is fantastic, rusty browns, mustard yellows, and black. What an amazing colour combination. The embellishments for this collection are just as spectacular. I do believe that I bought the whole collection .... parts of it in triplicate!

I am a Pinterest FREAK ...
I love Pinterest as a source of inspiration. I see a project that I think to myself; hey, I can duplicate that ... I can make that! And then I call my friend Amber over, and we try and do it ... sometimes better than others.
This time we were re-creating a Pin that a friend of mine sent of some rolled paper flowers. They looked simple enough, and sure enough they were. I used plain Bazzil cardstock and for the stems and leaves I used computer paper and sprayed it with some Prima Color Bloom spray (Lime Wedge) and then used the Prima Arbor Sizzix die to cut out the leaves. In a matter of 2 hours we had made a half dozen blossoms, stems and leaves. They turned out better than the originals if you ask me!

Inspired to scraplift - oh yeah I am!
I'll be the first to admit that I get inspired from the work of others - seeing beautiful work from designers or someone who is passionate about their art gets my creative juices flowing. I came across a layout that did more than that for me - I loved absolutely everything about this layout from the colours, to the products, to the sparseness and negative space. Louise Nelson is a designer for Prima Marketing; so you know I already love the products. She used gold on black and kept it simple - and stunning. You can visit Louise's blog post here
Here is my version of her layout
And here is a photo of Louise's original! I can't get enough of it! Wowzah!!
Thank you for looking!
