Totally Tilda - gettin' seedy!

The challenge over at Totally Tilda right now is gardening and you must use a seed package or gardening tool on your card. 

I love the French Country collection from Graphic 45, it is totally right for this challenge.  This time I used my distress markers to watercolour my Tilda - she turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

The challenge on the Totally Tilda Blog; link here is TomBoy Tilda, Tilda doing something boyish, or un lady like.  Well my Magnolia stamps are very limited, and anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a girly girl, and love pink.  This challenge was so hard for me.  The closest to boyish I have is Tilda walking a dog ... so here goes, this my entry!

 



 

 

Love my Maggies!

First of all I want to thank Janet for her kindness - you really made my day when you sold me all of your Magnolias, you have such good taste and its sad that you are giving up paper crafting, but you will enjoy the next journey in your life, I just know it!

I've been eyeing up all the blogs and YouTube tutorials on how to colour clouds with Copic markers ... there are so many different options out there, it was tough for me to choose one that I liked best.  I am so impressed with the way that Annika Ryan colours, and her clouds just made the most sense to me here is her YouTube tutorial Annika Ryan - YouTube. 

So, as I've been driving for the past week I have been looking at the clouds on the horizon and *noticing* the colours, and thinking about where the darker parts are, the light hits them etc.  Yeah, can you say I live an exciting life, hahaha!!

Well here is the result, I coloured up a couple of Maggies - the Tilda is supposed to have a bow behind her, but I fussy cut that off, and the swing stamp only had the small piece of a branch it attached to, so I added in the tree trunk to ground it, and little bit more branch.  I used Magnolia papers, doohicky's, and the gems are also Magnolia.

Projects from Prima's En Francais line

So the Mega Challenge has proven to be pretty big for even me.  Emma provided two members of her Design Team with 8 sheets each of patterned paper.  My collection is the En Francais line from Prima.

I still have heaps of it to get to, I think 8 sheets is a lot.  This line is great for boy photos, and if any of you watch my blog, you will know I tend to scrapbook my daughter way more than I do my son.  So, here is perfect opportunity for me to scrapbook The Boy!!  I love the rust browns and the greys and blues in this collection.

Sharing some Magnolia cards

It's no secret that I love the Magnolia stamps - especially the Tilda's.   I am really hoping that one of my local retailers will start bringing them in soon.  As much as I love a good deal buying on Kijiji or Ebay - but I want to keep my local Scrapbooking Stores in business. On that note - here is a few samples that I picked up recently - however they are not new.

I've started to change my style of doing cards, let me know what you think?  All images have been coloured with my copic markers.

Little bit of Copic, little bit of Magnolia, little bit of Bo Bunny

Kinda reminds me of that song Mambo #5 by Lou Bega! A little bit of Copic, a little bit of Magnolia, and little bit of Bo Bunny Gabrielle line ... wow what a beautiful card.  Topped off with my signature cabbage rose.  This time I added a spiked centre to the flower to give it a punch of the blue colour.

Bo Bunny put out a challenge to make your own embellishment.  Well if you know me, then you know I love making my own flowers and always put at least one flower on every project that I make - this card is no exception.

I tried to match the colours in the amazing Gabrielle with my Copics and used a Magnolia stamp "Tilda with Flowers"
